Site News

22-Sep-2005 - updated Programs to reflect current versions of the programs I was publishing, and to remove some stuff that wasn't being published properly anyway.

29-June-2004 - added the projects section, since there are a few things I work on which aren't really writing and I want to share them. The first major new content in there is the publication of some of my notes on ochmir, finally. More on these as work progresses. It is a cool game, though.

There have been other sundry updates since I last uploaded, but I don't recall all of them. Most are of the "Let's try to make this at least slightly current" variety, so there are a few updates in Media, and so on.

17-May-2004 - afficionadoes of this site will recognise that it has changed colour. It's still orange (or beige, if you prefer) but it is a fresher look. Less dismal.

This is stage one of a series of changes. The Fresh Orange look has been permeating throughout my online presences, starting with my blog (to which I finally have a link on the front page!), then invading Orange MC, and now onto my home page.

More as it happens, I am sure.

Why Orange?

I like orange. I'm not a primary colours person: I like the colours inbetween, the mixes, just as I like the minor tones in music. Interstices are one of the things that I am interested in. Orange seems, if not symbolic, then at least symptomatic of that.

What's This For?

In common with the vast majority of the web, this is just vanity publishing.

What it comes down to is that there are parts of my life which I wanted to publish, including writing, food, my MC server, and my blog. Think of this as a display case for favourite ornaments and you'll not go far wrong.

Note: this site is in no way connected with Orange Telecommunications - I used to have one of their phones, though. There is also no connection between this page and any other organisation, entity or object utilising the colour orange in its image, advertising or trademarks. This is particularly true of the Orange Order, and of those nasty citrus fruit things.
